They’re tackling the world’s rapidly-growing shortage in data storage by converting text data into protein. With conservative estimates suggesting that traditional data storage technologies (such as silicon-based and DNA-based) can only store half of the data generated by 2025, Cemvita Exa’s nature-inspired storage solution is stable at room temperature (similarly to human hair and nails), and does not require the carefully-controlled and energy-intensive storage support required by current methods.
